Since relocating to Pittsburgh in 2011, Shane has been continuously creating music while performing locally and across the country.  As a songwriter with Buffalo Rose, Shane’s compositions have been featured on NPR All Songs Considered, American Songwriter, and The Bluegrass Situation.  His song “The Soil and The Seed” won best song in the International Acoustic Music Awards in 2022, and the group recently released an EP “Rabbit” co-written with Grammy winning folk legend Tom Paxton.  He has shared the stage with The Wood Brothers, MonoNeon, Jonathan Scales, Sam Bush, and Tyler Childers, among others.  

 

Shane has also been an in demand studio musician and collaborator, recording vocal harmonies, guitar, and writing songs with many musicians in Pittsburgh and beyond.  His group Buffalo Rose will be releasing a full length record in the fall of 2022 on Misra Records.
